I absolutely LOVE these books!! I was a teenager in the 80's and I had (have Lol) a crush on a member of my favorite band. Karen Booth is 100% right on with this series. Great writing, so much so, the characters became real and are very relatable. It's been awhile since I have read a deeply romantic book but this series is it. I LOVED that Chris & Claire eased into a sexual relationship instead of hooking up immediatly. There was just enough angst, plenty of chemistry and Chris was a fabulous guy. Pacing and plot were great. All of the characters were very well developed. Nice cover of the books. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely would like to read more by this author. Highly recommend you read this series and more by Karen Booth.
I gave BRING ME BACK and BACK FOREVER five stars because six wasn't an option, but these books really are that good.
It has been a long, long time since I've loved a book so much I literally couldn't stop reading it until I was finished, even into the wee hours of the morning. BRING ME BACK is amazing. Simply amazing. I laughed and cried, and laughed some more and just ached for Chris and Claire as they struggled to make their relationship work. I knew there had to be an HEA (Happily Ever After ending), but how the author would get there had me on pins and needles.
Every emotion was real, the characters flawed just as we are. And yet...you can't help rooting for them. I can't say enough good things about BRING ME BACK. I never wanted it to end, so I was thrilled to learn there was a sequel with Chris and Claire, BACK FOREVER, which I also read (almost) in one sitting.
Like BRING ME BACK, BACK FOREVER isn't your typical rock star romance. Karen Booth digs deep into complex emotions dealing with families and everything loving people brings. Life is not neat and tidy. Life is messy. And yet, you can't help but feel good about the way things turned out...even though there were tissues involved at several points in the story.
Also like BRING ME BACK, BACK FOREVER has earned a spot on my keeper shelf -- and I've already re-read them. They're like good friends you love to revisit.

Finally – an adult rock star romance. Music critic Claire gets the ultimate assignment - to interview Chris Penman, the former lead singer of Banks Forest. Claire is thrilled because she spent her teenager years wishing Chris was her boyfriend. Chris is even sexier and more fun in real life than she ever imagined and he continues to pursue her after the interview. He’s coming out of a long spell of bad luck having finally ditched a cheating ex-wife and the band breaking up.
This is a wonderful romance that I found myself making extra time to read. The story is well written and very compelling. The characters are fully developed and realistic. Chris really puts on the charm to seduce Claire. He even works hard to have a good relationship with her daughter. There are some twists and turns and a few cry-worthy moments, both good and bad. Overall, a wonderful enjoyable read.
Also includes two short stories that flush out the early days of the band. Save a Prayer focuses on the early relationship between lead singer Graham and his wife Angie. Claire’s Diary is full of teen angst from Claire’s teenager days when she loves Banks Forest and thought she was in love with Chris. Cute look back at what became a fairy tale come true.

I absolutely love this story. A review I read said it was bringing fantasy to reality, and I agree. Clair's teenage crush has become her adult love. She is a single mom who has spent her life doing what was best for her daughter. Because of a chance meeting she now has a fantasy romance.
I am so excited to read the next book in this series.

The second book in this series is just as fantastic as the first. I love this family. They really stick together through good times and bad. It is inspiring to read about a couple who watch out for each other, and have each others backs.
This is a great story and a must read.
I absolutely adored this series. Bring Me Back and Back Forever felt so real/realistic to me. Claire is an almost forty, single mom freelance writer who is assigned to do an interview on her teenage celebrity crush Chris. Chris is a former band memeber and current solo artist, also in his mid forties. When they meet for the interview they find it's easy for them to communicate with one another. After talking for a while they form an easy going friendship. That friendship soon turns to romance, but they can't seem to fidure out how to make it work. Claire's teenage daughter, Sam, and her dad are also in the book quite a bit.
This story was so unlike most that I've read. Even though Chris was a celebrity, the story still felt so real. I could read book after book on these people and not get tired of them. These books were the first I had ever read by this author but after finishing them I plan to check out her other work.
There's a shorter story about Graham and Angie, Chris's bandmate and his wife. And a novella of Claire's teenage years with her journal entries. Both were also ve well written and enjoyable to read.
